To date I have never used a bark collar on a dog but this article is about the result that I got to witness the effects of a bark collar.
Because I live out in the country I do not need to worry about any of my dogs annoying my neighbours with barking too much. Currently I have three dogs and the main one that would bark is Tig however he only barks when there is a reason so if he barks during the night I always get up and go and see what he is barking at. He will always be looking at what it is that he is barking at so I can normally work out quickly if I need to follow up on his warning or simply say good boy Tig, That will do and he will go back into his kennel.
