Bill Westwood is one of New Zealand’s best known pig hunters who is willing to share his knowledge with others. He has produced four DVD’s about training pig dogs and his own training facilities where hunters and their dogs can learn to become more successful.

Georgie Hendrie: Not Just A Mans Game

Georgie is a southern las who has a keen eye behind the lens and a sharp tooth for hunting pigs. Georgie and her side kicks have been harassing the pig population since she was a critter. You’ll see her at some of the southern comps having a few jars and weighing in some impressive hogs. Georgie is new to the Hooked On Boars team but has supported the magazine for years with sending in articles and photos of her adventures so we thought we’d make her a part of the furniture.

John Witham: Across The Ditch

John is one of our ‘Cuzzies’ over the creek, he started his pig hunting career at 20 when one of the locals in the deep south invited him out for his first hunt over a beer and the rest was history. John is 64 years young and still going strong, over the years he has encountered plenty of hogs… AND MAYBE a few more critters even us kiwi’s wouldn’t hunt around.

Shaun Monk: Wild Things

Shaun was born and raised in the swine free South Westland rain forest country. More than a couple of decades and four generations of pig dogs later he still doesn’t lay claim to being a pig hunter. It’s more of an affliction that he can’t seem to shake off.
